Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Lisieux in the direction of Evreux, making it a good base for visiting war memorials and exploring the areas famous for the 1944 invasion. The rooms were well appointed, albeit with a somewhat uncomfortable sloping ceiling in the eaves. The service was a mixed experience with some staff being very helpful and caring while others were deemed rude. The dining options were enjoyable with a good selection, but not all guests were aware of certain complimentary offerings. The location offers bonus outside seating and convenient access to various historical sites.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. While the rooms are a bit tired, equipped with comfortable beds, and get too hot, the service is exceptional despite needing some investment. The location is convenient for accessing historic sites but distant from the center. The dining options are not extensive, yet there are pleasant surprises. Overall, it is a place with ups and downs.
The hotel is situated out of the city center, making it a good location for visiting the historical sites related to the 1944 Allied invasion, although it may not be ideal for those looking for a central location. The rooms are spacious but felt tired, and the pool area is a nice addition, especially during the summer. However, there are some smoking issues to be aware of at certain spots.
The hotel's location on the edge of a shopping complex was fine for our needs, visiting the many places famous for the 1944 invasion of the Allied forces. The rooms, although small and rather dark with little natural light, weren't that bad, but the outdated decor and lack of thermostat control made it extremely hot and uncomfortable. The hotel service, with friendly and English-speaking staff, was really helpful and accommodating, even allocating us a function room that served our purpose. The dining experience offered a nice selection of buffet-style options, though it could be unknown to everyone that it is free at times for those older than 55. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement in room comfort.
